Anywhere I can download and print a manual other then from my computer? I don't have a printer.
I bought a new camera and apparently you have to download the manual from their website and print it.

well,that sucks.

I'm not sure...do they do that at Staples?

they print anything you give them, you just pay by the page. It's really cheap. Just give it to them on a flash drive, or anything, and you can get it done.

Why not just download it to your computer and read it from there? That way you don't have to kill a bunch of trees for something you'll read only a few times.
You should be able to find the manual on the manufacturers website.

As for trees....do you wipe your a$$?
I will need it to take with me when taking pictures of the outdoors. Don't think I can get a computer to work in the middle of the bush, but thanks for the idea.
And I will probably read it more then a few times. But thanks for the great help. I will keep it in mind the next time I wipe my a$$ with a tree.

Why do you need to print it?
I was cringing the other day when I bought my new series 7 Samsung LCD ... thick ass manual that I'll never use and in multiple languages ... what a complete waste. Why? Pull it up online and I got a much better search function rather than "manual scanning". So much easier in e-format (PDF).
Seriously, think of the environment and don't print. Can't you sit in front of your computer with the manual pulled up and learn what you have to learn? It's just a camera.

Drives me nuts to sit in front of the computer and try to navigate a site for a manual, I ended up printing it off in the end...just my comfort level I guess.
Plus when I ended up selling the item I had the manual (printed off mind you) and they were more than happy to have it rather than a slip of paper telling them where they could find the dam thing.

P.S. Tippi, if you want send me the site and I'll print it off for you if it's not a novel.

why would I ever get smart :)
you can go to the library and print out the manual from there ... then you can take it in the bush and take whatever sexy pictures you want to in privacy :D

Now ID how did you know what I was going to do with the manual? ;)
Thanks Xzavia for the offer but I sent it to staples for them to print and I can pick it up later.
FYI to the other people. I learn better if I can study the manual when it's in my hands as oppose to reading it on the computer.
And for all those tree huggers....I read books too, a lot of books! I actual buy them from the store, can you believe it???? It's too hard to read at night curled up in my bed at home or camp with a computer. Just not the same comfort feeling I guess.

Keep buying them books Tippi - I made my living for 35 years by making paper from brutally murdered and dismembered trees and there are still guys out there who need the work.
You other guys can go hug a cactus - they're green too.

Wow...thanks for that.
I really don't consider myself a tree hugger, I just know from experience that most people read their manual a couple of times and then never look at it again. It just seemed to me that printing it out would be a waste of paper and ink.
Now if you'll excuse me I have to go drag my monitor into the bathroom so I can spend some quality time on the throne and then use the pinecones I've gathered up to wipe my butt.

Another suggestion I have is to copy and paste what info you need from the online manual into an email. Sent your email to Walmart and get the pages printed off there. That way, you'll only print off what you need, and more trees don't have to die. lol

Well you people are gonna just love me.....LOL
Got the manual printed. Surprise, surprise.
Only thing is I decided to bring back the camera and get a better one. Guess what I just did.....
I just ordered the manual for that one and it was 180 pages. So if anyone would like a 85 page manual for whatever you feel the need for, pm me.
Strange, I don't even feel bad about it. Sorry :)

heh ... ya the search function on all websites & browsers do nothing. /shrug
Next time you're on a site and can't find something use the website's search function or even your browser's search function.
Hint: Search the keyword "manual"
Pretty simple stuff.

It's not about being a tree-hugger dumbass, it's about being efficient and smart. eManuals are so much easier to navigate. Although they can't teach really old dogs new tricks can they?
Paper is so 90's ... get with the times folks.

Apparently you missed the point, Ticdov.
I was just making a rather light-hearted reply to a slightly off-topic comment which had nothing to do with the manual discussion.
Oh, about that " dumbass " thing- this is how threads get turned into ridiculous arguments that end up getting deleted.

You seem to enjoy trying to make others feel stupid. Are you compensating for something maybe? ;)
