These two parks are on Manitoulin Island near tobermory and i was wanting anyones info into these places and is it worth taking my 8 year old son to them of course the beauty is nice, but the expense is what i am asking about, is it worth the time and effort basically and is there a lot of things to do for adults/children.

I believe you'll need your scuba gear. They are underwater parks, lots of shipwrecks. Not sure if there's much on shore besides an interpretation centre.

On the other hand, a trip to the Manitoulin is never a bad idea.

Underwater means peace and quiet with an 8 year old. It is worth the money I am sure lol

See, perfect. Go for it! Of course, if you disappoint him, he'll tell you all about it on your 3 hour drive home.

He likes fishing as well and hiking and i see they have some areas for such things there and the nature beauty is the best part for anyone to see.

bruce penn. is WONDERFUL it is absolutly beautiful. there are trails that lead to the water and there are incredible views and swimming. there are caves and cliffs and steps. it doesnt even seem like canada, it seems tropical. the water is a beautiful blue colour. we brought finns and life jackets and just hung out in the water. we couldnt get a campsite at the park, but we got one in a private park and just went through the national park to the water each day (an extra $5.) i loved it there, and would recommend it to everyone.

part of fathom five is flowerpot island, and you can take a boat out there for a few hours and hike around the island, it has cool rock formations. the rest of that park is mostly for scuba
