How incredibly Canadian. God knows we wouldn't want to seem to take the lead and do what needs be done. By following the American lead it should give Canadians plenty of lee way to do little if anything constructive.

This shouldn't "tax" our politicians too much.

"Given the integration of our two economies it is essential our targets remain in line — not more, not less," Prentice said. "It all comes down to jobs."

Sound reasonable to me.

Reasonable yes, but would it not be nice to lead for a change. There was a time..............

Trudeau is dead. And in making Canada leader in something, anything, he almost bankrupted the country. The US is by far the largest industrialist nation in the western hemisphere so it's only natural they would set the pace on this stuff. Will I agree with the measures they take? I highly doubt it. Will I wish Canada could do more and could take the lead? Undoubtedly.

Unfortunately, reality intrudes at times.

Ahhh, Trudeau. The party was incredible but the hangover very nearly killed us. As for reality. I will begrudgingly have to agree but it does not preempt nor trump wishing/hoping.
