FYI...just in case people had the same problems i did with my Ranger 4 wd...The original stock hubs work on a vacuum to engage the front wheels into 4wd. The problem is, these hubs are known for leaking and if there is any sort of corrosion, you have to buy a $500 new hub just to get the vacuum back. Its a real expensive fix from any driveline shop, not too mention labour. anyways, I've had problems with mine for the last 2 years, finally i saw the light, found these online and will save you tonnes of cash and you know your 4wd will engage no matter what. Hope this will hek=lp anyone who has a 2000 ranger 4wd. Any shop in town including the dealers say there is NO conversion to manual locking hubs for a 2000 ranger...Not true. These hubs will work on any truck with a build date before july of 2000.
