Nice, but to big = more to lose when i crashes...i found a few places in canada cheaper on that HD, gotta love knowing where to buy to save even more.
385.99 CAD, 8.99 express shipping. Price is already dropping. Personally I would go with the Seagate 500 Gig for 99.99 CAD. You can nearly get 2 Tera byte for the price of the Hitachi.

I wasnt saying it was the conventional method, nor the cheapest .... I was simply astounded by the progress of Hard Drives.
I am not really impressed by it, to be honest.
We are still running 7200 RPM on the desktop, and have been for several years now, with the exception of the 10.000 RPM that a few of us might have.
In the meantime, the server market runs at 10.000 RPM 15.000 RPM and has been for many years.
It's really time to make 10.000 RPM standard for the desktop, and 15.000 RPM for the enthusiasts amongst us.
It's also time they start to combine SS with conventional drives, to cache often used data.
