have'nt decided if we should trust our teenage daughter to be home on time,,,,, as we would like to go to a friends camp and go snowmobiling,,for the nite,,, so i think the mom will stay home and the dad will go have fun with friends , while the mom makes sure the teenager is safe!!

Not doing anything. New Years has been pretty low key for the past few years.

We pig out at home on seafood, make toasts with a few glasses of wine and don't care if we're sleeping before midnight. lol Our party days are long gone and we like it that way.

The thing I hated the most about New Years Eve parties was a bunch of drunken people you hardly knew wanting to kiss and hug you at midnight, YUCK!

Neighbourhood shin-dig going on, whole neighbourhoods been invited so should be a good time. And if it ain't I shall stumble home and have my own party.

I don't participate in the whole exchanging of smooches with every Tom/**** & Harry for the New Year either, ughhhhhhh!!!!!

Getting drunk and partying with friends

That's why New Year's is so uneventful in this part of the world ...no one does anything different than they do the other 51 weekends of the year.

I probably wont do too much. My friends are going to docks and his friends are having house parties that nothing good ever comes out of, always trouble. Docks will be brutal and the house party dramatic..so I think I will stay nice, comfy and not sick to my stomach in my own little bed.

The son of one of our oldest and dearest friends is getting married, so we will be dressed to the nines enjoying a PARTY!
Should be fun, we get to celebrate the union of two great young people and have a New Years party to boot.

That sounds like one amazing wedding! So are they getting married on the 1st or the 31st? I know of people who had the dinner and everything then at midnight they had the actual wedding.

They are getting married at 3:00 pm on the 31st. I think its the anniversary of either thier meeting or thier first date.

We are celebrating family style with our children, watching family movies and eating junk food. They will each have a friend over for the night as well. It will be fun.

Will be taking Bandit into the senior's home for visits that night. Tried fixing him up with reindeer horns but he decided that he'd rather eat them.

Fabulous idea Grumpy!! I know the folks at Collegiate where my Gram lives, just love the animal visits. I always bring one of my dogs when I go there, and he gets lots of petting on the way to my Grams apartment.
