Just wondering if the Iphone is any good for texting or if I should be looking at a blackberry for that.

I had a chance to use both before buying, and I prefer the iPhone. I found the buttons on the blackberry just too close together for me to be able to type effectively. I can text/type very quickly on my iPhone. Also, the iPhone screen turns sideways, to give you a wider keyboard if preferred.
I love my iPhone!!

I thought for sure I wanted a Blackberry until I actually tried typing on one. Same problem as everywoman mentioned -- the keys were so close together, I just couldn't do it. I'm accurate on my iPhone, though. It's just way easier. I, too, love my iPhone. :)

I know of a number of people who own Blackberries who wish they could have an Iphone. I know of no Iphone users who wish they had a Blackberry!

Take a look at Heller's phone that I bought her. She loves it and it has a self correcting screen for side or up and down view. I have no idea what it is but it did come from Bell. She and her friends love it.

just give them a call and to hell with the texting.
Iphone for sure. I had a blackberry and I hated it for multiple reasons. e have a iphone now and it is awesome and easy to text on, I dont text much but when I do it is easy. And all the other features on it are great. Iphone is your best bet. Plus blackberry's are bulkier.

Thats good to hear that people like the iphone to text because I was under the impression it is hard to text on the screen. No i don't know anybody that has a palm pre and haven't had a chance to try one yet. I don't talk on my phone more than maybe 2 hours per month but I text about 1000 per month so it needs to be easy for that. Also I want it as an agenda, I have an old blackberry now and was going to upgrade to a new one. The couple of people that I know that have iphones love the phones but don't text so they couldn't give me an opinion.
I have a palm 650, and fat fingers and I have no problem texting on a small keyboard, you just have to learn how to use it. The thing I don't like about the iphone is that your screen is always dirty form texting. You have to constantly clean it. But there are a lot of apps out there for it.
As everything there are pros and cons to them all and you have to figure out if you can stand the cons.

My friend has an iPhone and I tried it but I didn't like it. I can't use anything touch screen, it never registers for me properly and then I get mad lol. I got a BlackBerry for Christmas and I love it. I find it easy to text with and convenient. I have my work schedule in it and it is easy to use (much easier than my last phones).
I'm hoping to get an iPhone for Mothers Day, once you go mac, you never go back.. :)

The Storm has that same feature, it turns sideways, then it displays the entire keyboard. Between the Storm and iphone, it all depends on what you want to use it for. Blackberry is great for all of it's corporate features where the Iphone is great for other features. I have no problems texting on either the Storm or the iphone. If you go with the Storm, go with the 9550 which has the wifi support.

macs are PC's...people fail to remember that. They just have a different OS.
I use Windows, it just works.
I don't knock people for using Macs, computer illiterate people need computers too.

I dunno. It is from Bell 'cause we are Bell across the board. My choice for work phones is Sam-sung 'cause they are bullet proof. I have actually, in a fit of pique thrown mine at a wall, put it back together and used it, TWICE! I, personally don't text. Should anyone text me I call back.
