Canadian Tire ruined my seat in my Plymouth Prowler. Replacement of the seat is $5500. They don't want to pay. I was hoping maybe someone could direct me to a Lawyer with reasonable fee's. I talked to a couple and they wanted $3000 which doesn't benefit me in any way. I don't make a very good speaker so I prefer to have a Lawyer. If someone could help out it would be great.

I'm thinking - if you can afford that car, should you not be able to afford a lawyer?

what kind of damage, it may be covered in your insurance coverage, also what kind of damage. Take a pic and lets have a look-see.

Small Claims Court is a maximum of $25,000.00.
You could do it yourself...you could!

i think 'cheap lawyer' is an oxymoron. you could always ask for court costs back.

Small claims court is a mximum $5000. If I have to give a lawyer $3000, and the Judge awards me $2000/$3000 then whats the point of going to court?. Now you understand why I need a lawyer that charges less fee's. I tried all that stuff some of you have mentioned. Last resort was small claims court, BBB and the insurance company. I had to go to Canadian Tire for the RIV inspection. I decided to let them install the daytime running lights because the car come from the States. Believe me, I thought hard about going somewhere else. You will never see me at Canadian Tire automotive again.

I really think you could do it yourself.
Anyway, there is a guy that works for all the dealers, that will cosmetically fix or hide the scratches.
He is quite good and maybe that's all you need?

If you found a surgeon who worked at half price, would you go to him??

If you found a house builder who worked at half price, would you go to him??

If you found a dentist who worked at half price, would you go to him??

I don't know about you, but I would not.

Retaining a lawyer can cost $1500 and I don't know how much from there. I'm currently paying a very good lawyer and will probably end up selling my truck to finish the court costs.
BUT, I will get my money back one way or another. I'm very persistent in those things.

Good luck with your claim regardless how you must deal with it. I would be mad as hell too if I were you.

How can you prove that you didn't do that to the seat with your jeans or anything? Don't most mechanics use seat covers?
