Does anyone know what is with the sirens all day long in the West End..? They have been going up and down second line all day long.

I heard a whole whack of sirens on 17N near Goulais today as well. Wondered what it was too.

I will never move back to West End...I only lived there for 3 years but that was enough.....I was in a good neighborhood, not too many problems but you could still see/hear/smell the Steel Plant on the way home. I love the area where I am now .....best neighbors ever ...no dogs ,no kids around LOL

Not sure, heard/watched 4 of them go by our house while we were outside. Not sure how far they were going down but they continued through Goulais Ave.

There's a reason why No Frills is in the west end and Pino's in the east end ..just think about it

Hmmmm....after "thinking about it" I can only conclude that us west enders know how to spend our money more wisely!! No Frills has the same food at a lower cost!!

but Pino's is way classier

I've never set foot in No Frills... I think I'm scared, I've heard way too many horror stories on here

Funny thing was tonight I watched amateur hour or as they call it the news and they had the weather watcher's report from the Soo and she was saying about how nice it was here yesterday that they even had a nice bonfire. So much for the fire ban.

The alpaca farm down the road was burning brush like crazy today. So....there's a fire ban on? Could've fooled me!

I still don't have a clue what those sirens were about on 17N at Goulais.

Maybe it was a bonfire?

They cleared about 30 acres so they're burning off the brush.
