View Full Version : Saw something interesting today

I was up at Fourth Line at one of the streams and saw a whole bunch of fish swimming up stream in a very shallow (about 5" to 1') part of the stream. They looked for all the world like they were spawning. Their colours were very different from normal - kind of orange and black mostly and they were flipping out of the water all over the place either in singles or in packs up to about 5 fish. All the fish were at least a foot long and some quite a bit bigger than that. Obviously, I know very little about fish. Can someone please explain to me what I was watching? It really was fascinating.

Without seeing the fish I'd say you were watching suckers spawn. You dirty boy you, would you want the fish watching you and the little woman get it on?? tsk tsk tsk
