I was at Fort Creek this afternoon and bumped into some people who had a Pug, I've never had any dealings with them and had never considered them as good looking. But after today I can see the attraction to them as they (or at least he) really nice dogs. All I can remember was his name started with a "R".

Pugs are a very laid back(well the ones i have ever dealt with)breed. I re-homed a 6 year old who has never been around kids, she went to a home with 3 ages 3,5,9 and loves it, the 9 year old and her are best friends, they walk daily and she sleeps with her, they are not mean to any one or are not scared of people. like i said she had never been arounf children but her temperment I knew she whould be fine with kids.

Pugs are adorable.
have to agree...at first glance... pugs just did'nt seem to cut it...but after meeting a few...they have great dispositions and i really like the way they look...unique...no other dog is like them..

I was hooked after my first one! We took him from an abusive home and it was love at first snort. I currently have four and they are all comedians, no time to be depressed around them.
And they are great lap warmers. Pugs will do bush runs, couch sitting and everything in between. They also can do great facial expressions, they smile, pout (with bottom lip out), look concerned, etc.
I'm glad that you met one and enjoyed the experience grumpy.

To be truthful there are very few dogs that I've met that I didn't like right off the bat, too bad I can't say that about people.
