Here are a few photos from Snowshoe Camp on Wakomata Lake, which is on Highway 129. I took these last weekend. The shot of the mine is just down the highway from the camp.

Very nice!!! I'm relatively familiar with a number of the lakes on 129.....Beals, Cummings, Chub and, yes, Wakomata.

Have you ever taken any pics of the bluff on Cummings? I've tried and tried over the years to take one that really shows the scale and majesty of it but always just get a ho-hum result.

Thanks Karen-Annie. I was up there once a few years back and snapped a photo with an older P&S camera, but I plan to go back this summer to see what I can capture. It is a fun hike up there, and the view is spectacular. My wife & I are renting a cabin at Snowshoe this summer, and going up there is on my list of places to go.

Thanks gouligann. My wife and I were out in the paddle boat, and we were able to drift within a few feet of it. Apparently it's not normal, or easy, to get that close, so I'm glad I had my camera with me.
