I was in the process of moving my music to another location when I noticed that the transfer speed was painfully slow. I only have a 7200 RPM drive, but should it really be this bad?

The theme I'm using doesn't suck up any resources, and the only other things I have running are Rocketdock, MSN, and uTorrent ( Although the DL was paused. Single download transfering at 705 kB/s )

Is there anything I can do to speed this up? Keep in mind it's a laptop so tweaking and modding is limited.

Speed is 16 MB/s and change. The image was downscaled and is a little hard to see. Sorry.

No. This is a data transfer from my laptop's internal HDD to my external HDD via USB.

whats the point of having a computer tech support portion just to lead people to another site. Google is slowly becoming obeslete cause of idiotic responses like this.

BTW - great job at reviving a thread thats been dead for over 2 months....
