I need some help with Ubuntu Fiesty Fawn. I installed it without a hitch but whenever I boot up, I get an XServer error. Found out that Ubuntu does not like my Radeon 9200 PCI video card. When I have my onboard video going, it works perfectly. Any suggestions?

Still giving it a try I see, cool. Looks like you're not alone in this one though. A good thread on it here. (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=507165)

If you're not using onboard sound go to page 5 and there may be a solution for you.

you edit your xconf after installing drivers to accept the new drivers

It looks like the drivers are preinstalled. I editted the xconf to push through the PCI bus now it wont boot at all. I am starting to think this whole linux thing is worse than Windows......

What driver did you install? I believe there's a new driver out that might help you out.

I didnt install any driver. I think it was preinstalled. I looked under the list of devices and it recognized it.

Yes, but there's different drivers for ATI hardware, and different versions.
The latest ATI driver version is 8.39.4.
