ya that covers all the reasons why you can get it annulled but not how long after the marrage you can get it annulled. I just wana make sure i have all my bases covered.

Na, the non consummation thing is still in place... however, it's just if one person can NOT have sex for whatever reason. If one party goes into the marriage knowing that it can't be consummated, no annulment for you. Here:


"Understand that non-consummation, or lack of sexual intercourse, is a common reason to annul a marriage. In this case, you can most likely have your marriage annulled in Ontario. However, if you knew upon entering the marriage that consummation wasn't possible, such as in a case where there is a physical or mental disorder, then an annulment won't be granted. Oooo you have me beat. My aunt was annulled after 5 years. She married a gay guy and never consummated the marriage. I guess in the 50's it's weird to still be a virgin after 5 years of marriage.

I don't know the rules on annulment, but I'm guessing if someone is thinking about annulment BEFORE a marriage....the marriage probably shouldn't take place! It would save everyone involved a lot of heartache and money. Sometimes it's best to follow the gut instinct!
