I will go slowly so you can understand.

1. Open the phone book.
2. turn to the yellow pages.
3. Look for automotive parts stores
4. CALL YOURSELF and find out how much it is.

Now for the next part.
Is the water pump inside the timing cover or external on the block or serpentine system?

Not for Canadian Tire it ain't.

Even a name brand manufacturere won't put the same quality into a CTC part as those sold to other outlets.

CTC orders parts by the million. And EVERY company that gets big orders like that, especially with CTC's reputation for being hard to deal with, will try their darndest to save money on the manufacture of the product.

I for one, don't buy critical parts, or ANY if I can help it, from Canadian Tire.
