my new-to-me ford seems to like to shift around 2000... it seems kind of low to me. I thought they would shift higher? it is a 5 speed in a f150. Google is giving me conflicting stories...

When the vehicle shifts depends on how you drive it. Im guessing because its shifting around 2000 rpm its because you drive slower than my grandma. If you were to mat it, you would probably find that it doesnt shift til 4500-5500 rpm. You should be happy, its means your driving efficiently and not burning lots of gas.

nope you come take it for a ride, not my driving, does it for other people to. if you try to let it go it will just rev out on you. the civic shifted around 4500.

Yer comparing the shift points of an F150 to a Civic?? Hmmmm.

Take it to Sault Transmission and ask them to test drive it.

Or I will for you.
