Okay, this is gonna be weird, bear with me...
I recently bruised my ribs at the gym and have had constant chest pain for a little over two weeks, retrogressively getting better and better. It's at the point where I was going to go back to the gym, then BAM food poisoning, out of commission for 2 days (1.5 days) obviously had diarrhea and all those lovely gastric problems. Well, this morning, I wake up with a startle of intense chest pain, very similar to when I first bruised my ribs, and grumbly noises from my stomach. I am having a hard time breathing it hurts so much, then... I fart.... pain is like 95% gone, still some back aches I think from being tense and minor grumbling noises.... Anyone ever experience this? I'm gonna call the tele health line, I just thought I'd see what you guys thought.... and I kinda wanted to share

I am not an expert on the matter but having found a deceased relative sitting on the toilet I was told by medical people that the urge to go sit can be caused by an approaching heart attack. Sounds like you have had a lot of other things going on as well but I would certainly get checked out.

sounds like you just have indigestion or gas. But im not a doctor and neither is anyone on here, so best bet if you are worried is to go see a professional.

yah, went in... Was likely my stomach pushing on my ribs. I had food poisoning a few days ago so I was gassy. The chest pains are from me hurting my ribs a few weeks ago. The doctor was surprised it hasn't healed yet, so he told me put some heat on them, limit physical activities and do breathing exercises to make sure I'm breathing properly. I think I've not been giving my ribs the break they needed and that's why they are still sore.
