My husband has family in the that area and we haven't heard if everyone is ok. I'm hoping they are.
OK, so they aren't in Toowoomba.........didn't catch the title. They are in Queensland somewhere.

Makes you wonder why one person thought to move his vehicle and everyone else stood and watched their cars go under.

Perhaps his WIFE suggested he do it and had spectacular life insurance?

The guy at the start of the video said "do you think we should move our car" ... then continues filming and watching as the water
continues to rise and the car washes away. A big sacrifice just to get something interesting for youtube !!

We have friends in Perth and in Gin Gin (an hour or so south of Bundaberg).
And for anyone who feels inclined...

The guy in the video asked if he should move his car, then discussed that he parked it in the front lot. One would assume that he thought his car was out of harms way.

Personally, I think the ones who DIDN'T go to move their vehicles were the smart ones. That guy took a huge risk.....with as fast as that water was rising, he could easily have been swept away. And it wouldn't have taken very much more to knock him off his feet. Let the car go-NO automobile is worth one's life.

The idea is to go out when the water is low and the danger is too ... i realize though that its convenient to paint a picture of a man
swimming against the raging current just to save a car !! The fact is if a few more people took the care to protect their things from
harm rather than saying "oh well its insured" maybe everyone else insurance rates might be a little more reasonable !!

Trying to predict with certainty how fast flash flood waters will rise is risky. As fast as it DID rise, there was every chance it could have risen even faster. And, if the auto owners had all followed his example? Just picture the frantic chaos as all those vehicles were being frantically moved.
I stand by my statement-no automobile or other property is worth risking your life.
