It's never too late to spay/neuter.
Try leaving the info at the humane society, they'd be willing to call you if somthing comes in thats a match.

I have 2 Maine Coons myself, but both came from out of town! One from the States and the other one from T.O.The closest breeder I am aware of is in Sudbury! Mariama! The Humane Society often has them. Check out their web site!

I know there is a breeder in sudz but they are damn expensive. They always seem to have kittens tho.

I was reading that website and I was looking at the restraints they recommend...OMG outdated and so not good. I just finished taking animal restraints....they need to update that.

It is on this page and following pages. Many of those techniques are outdated and are NOT recommended.http://www.mariama.ca/catcaretwo.htm

I have never liked picking cats up by the scruff of the neck, I know the mothers do..but it just feels so mean to me

Hubby took Maggie to the groomers. Denise had no trouble at all. She cut her nails.......snip....snip. Cut her hair. Hubby said she gave one hiss that was all. But the funny part came when Denise went to put Maggie back into her carrier. She stuck both of her front paws out so denise could not get her in. She laughed and said usually they love to go back in there after being groomed.

When she came home she sat a the door of the bedroom and would not move when I called her. Just looked at me saying..."you dirty...."

The restaints really bother me too.I previously mentioned this was the closest breeder to the Sault that I was aware of, I am not necessarily recomending this breeder, as my interaction has been limited with her and did not purchase a kitty. Like I said, I have 2 Maine Coons, and drove 9 hours into the States to get one of them. My other MC came from T.O area and I got totally burned twice, which is a very sad story! Buyer beware!!
