Ok Heres what it says for me....

frostwire-4.21.3.windows.exe
which is a;Binary File
from; http:files.brothersoft.com

Would you like to save this file? Save File Continue

So its still a binary file......

And when I click on Save File this is what comes up....

"frostwire-4.21.3.windows.exe" is an executable file. Executable files may contain viruses or other malicious code that could harm your computer. Use caution when opening this file. Are you sure you want to launch "frostwire-4.21.3.windows.exe"?

So my question is....Now what do I do? lol

An .exe is an executable. Just save it to your desktop and run it.

But I don't get the option of saving it to my desktop....
How can I do that?

No offence, but maybe you should not be downloading stuff until you know a bit more about PC's. You are really opening yourself up to viruses if you don't understand the basics of files and file extensions.

My computer was fine last year for downloading stuff and then all of a sudden I go to download stuff and it ends up being a binary file..

And Hans...no offense taken, but I do know about computers its just that this binary stuff all of a sudden is confusing me because its never happened before....

An exe file is a binary file in an executable form. Windows uses file extensions to determine what to do with it when you open a file. In this case it will execute the file.
Just be aware that by default windows hides known file extensions, including .bat and .exe.

frostwire-4.21.3.windows.exe will be seen in windows explorer as frostwire-4.21.3.windows
frostwire-4.21.3.windows.mp3.exe will be seen in windows explorer as frostwire-4.21.3.windows.mp3

The first one will be a regular exe, the second one a virus. It's a common trick used to lure people into opening files containing viruses.
