We had one of the first PC's - an Atari 400 and then moved up to an Atari 800. After that, I remember having a unit for my home office that you had to boot the operating system from a floppy disc. I used DOS til 2000. I paid a fortune for a couple of computers in early 1990 and 1999 (for Y2K!). Over $2,000 each. I waited long enough for the next one a few years ago to get something fully loaded for a third of the price that they used to cost. It is amazing that the little SD cards for my camera can hold more than my hard drive did from 10 years ago. They are a hellava lot cheaper too!
