Interesting.
I didn't know that you could change to OS on those things, thought it was restricted.
Secondly it looks like they are using the systems graphics to its full potential.
We use hardwired graphics in some of our systems, do you know if a playstation uses this technology also, or does it use a software drive graphics card? Or maybe a combination of both?

It s actually a rather outdated gpu in those. And the hardware is direct driven rather than rely on an api. This right here is why countries with tech trade embargoes aren't allowed tgese consoles, in fact t actually was joke tgat someone was going to do this in N.Korea.

if you use linux on the ps3 (for home uses its been killed) ... but im sure the army and universities that are using them have the OTHER OS feature still ... anyhow ... you are basically in a VM when you install linux the video card is software based ... what they are utilizing is the CELL processor for its math ... since thats the only real hardware linux has access too ... and a ps3 cluster was done when it was first brought to market ... mind you it was only 8 systems ...
