But when the number of Canadian names is equalled by the number of American names on the Stanley Cup, ole' winger will have something real to talk about.

I'll bet the dominant nationality on most, if not all, NHL teams is Canadian. It's our game, no one can take it from us, no one is coming close to doing that. RWGR can spin the numbers any way he wants, bottom line is, ... Canada rules!

But the thing is, this isn't a revelation to anyone, ... RWGR suffers from the "Fonzy Syndrome", ..... can't say the words .... "I'm wrong".

SSMP

RWGR

I'll bet the dominant nationality on most, if not all, NHL teams is Canadian.

But those numbers have declined precipitously over the last 25 years.

It's our game

No, it's not. And if an American were ever to make such a bold statement about a sport you would cry out in indignation over the arrogance of it all.

Russia is a far, far better hockey nation than Canada. The U.S., if not even with Canada, is very close. Not only is Canada not the number one hockey nation in the world anymore, an argument could be made it may be the number three hockey nation.

no one can take it from us

While you were 'sleeping', guess what happened ;)

RWGR can spin the numbers any way he wants, bottom line is, ... Canada rules!

No one fabricates and twists the truth better than Canada when it comes to hockey. But I'm not sure one engenders bragging rights about such things.

Jack Butler
05-13-2011, 10:16 PM
Of course the numbers changed. All it does is soften the other countries numbers as well...we still dominate.
And, what sport does the USA dominate like Canada dominates hockey? I'll save you the trouble...none!
Without that dominance, it would sound silly!
Russia is our biggest foe, no question, but to say they are better is an uneducated... the offs are 61% Canadian.
That's 39% for the rest of the world...I said the world, so how good could it be?
If they were all Russian, we'd still have'em by 22%...ha, ha, ha!
No one is spinning anything, other than perhaps you.
Where are these guys from other countries and what teams do they play for?
When you can answer that question with some actual names, then maybe...
You sure have a way of making yourself look like a foolish!

It gets beat every year.

The numbers are not on your side. They are indicative of your decline as a hockey power.

Jack Butler
05-13-2011, 10:33 PM
Yes they are...unless you can beat 61%, we win!
Those are todays stats...61% against the rest of the world.
That's as dominate as any country is in any sport!
....this is easy!
