Such a sad day for us, we lost our sweet little dog this morning; she had to go pee at 4:30am she was only 10-15 feet from the front door doing her business when a coyote grab her, hubby who was standing at the door waiting for her started to yell the coyote dropped her but too much damage was done and we had to take her to the Vet to be put down, We donít feel any anger towards the Coyote this is just part of living off the beaten path, but sure has been a hard day.

Awh :( sorry to hear that. Last year I heard of this happening a lot. Not what anyone expects from something so routine.

I was just sick when I read this. I am so sorry that this happened to you. We also live "off the beaten path", and we are always concerned about our "furry babies". I can't imagine how devestating it was to witness it happening.

I have heard that this year the coyotes are really bad, there must be a lot. People who live out on the island are reporting less dear and other wild life and they hear and see a lot more coyotes.

Sorry for your loss, I couldn't imagine hopefully I never do.

Yes we are devastated it is so shocking to have this happen feet from where you are standing, some may think this is because we live in an out laying area but don’t be fooled I know people who have seen Coyotes in the Northren ave area of the Sault.

I'm so sorry Bufford.
I hear the coyotes often near our place and worry constantly when I go out with our little ones. Coyotes are stealthy and quick and most often we don't even know they are there.
At least you were able to be with your little one right away even though the damage was already done.
Tonight when I'm out with mine, I will be thinking of yours. :(
