So I have me a flowerhorn... its almost 4"...
i have some questions... is it male , female or too young to tell?

will it lose its stripes?
will it become more red?

will this be a nice one once it matures or an ugly one? lol

please post your opinion!!

it changes colours lots

If it changes colours alot its likely a male. If thats the case he'll get darker and his stripes will get bolder, especially when he feels threatened. If its a female she'll fade.
Looks like a male to me. His bottom fins will get very black in front.
We had 6 cichlid tanks at one point, but then we had more kids and they slowly became a real pain in the @$$ to keep up with. LOL
