It is for real.
I am posting this for someone else who really would like for this to happen. I am not a country fan, but I know many in this city are.
I voted for Kiss to play here and never went to see them either.
These contests seem to do well in our town and the concerts are good for the economy!

Why do you want a Southern Yankee?

His music sounds good. I can forgive his choice in place to live.

Much like he will hold his nose for 2 hours to take your money?

How does a sticky get done? Does a Mod have to do that?

Alan Jackson is a great singer but terrible stage presence, besides I'd probably enjoy something more knowing an entertainer "wanted" to come here and not begged to.

I can understand that. Makes sense. Unless it were Sarah Brightman then I'd be all over begging :)

Did you catch the Brian Johnson interview on the Eddie Trunk show tonight? It was good.

Not this time but I have listened to him on there before and he is very well liked by his peers and fans because he is so down to earth and humble...

You are 100% correct, great singer not a good entertainer. I saw him in Ottawa and all he did was stand on stage strum his guitar and sing. There was no stage presence what so ever. I will not go to see him again. I enjoyed his opening act which was clay walker much much more. I have seen many many concerts and he is on the bottom of my list. The only one more disappointing would be Cher.....yep sadly enough her concert bombed out. The number one concert was janet jackson now there is a lady that can perform not just sing but put on a damn good show. And then my fav singer with charisma would be keith urban. Bon Jovi was another AWESOME concert....Sarah maclaughlin (sp) was darn good as well. Brooks and dunn amazing. Alan jackson just outright sucked.
