Anyone know the name of the fish circled in the picture below? It's the only one I can't identify out of all of them...

Is it young? Could be a Tropheops still developing colour. http://www.arkive.org/tropheops/tropheops-microstoma/image-G81865.html

Not sure...

It's under a year old. It was the only one left when I picked it up together with my red empress. I forgot to look at the label. I am pretty sure it's a male because its starting to develop some red in the fins and has the egg spots on the tail fin.
Have not been able to identify it.

I think that's the same species i thought too..but I've never owned Cichlids so I'm unsure..might have to head back to the store and see what they called them lol.

There was only one. I will just wait and see how he turns out. Will be much easier to determine once he has some color.

I know EXACTLY what it is!! We did chiclids for years and had a breeding pair of these.
It's a female species 44 (Haplochromis sp 44) The males are WILD looking. Females not so much. The spots on the belly fin are a dead give away. :)

Its actually a female both sexes have the egg spots. The fellow on the far right, wait till you see hoe big he gets!! They grow to the size of thier tanks and our guy was 8 inches long and weighed a ton. Love chiclids but upkeep of the taanks got to be ALOT of work as we had 5. Nice fish. :)

The Frontosa is about 8 inches long. He's on his side, so he looks smaller.
