The Toronto Maple Leafs slide out of a playoff position has cost head coach Ron Wilson his job.

According to TSN's Darren Dreger the club let Wilson go on Friday evening, two days after the club's 5-4 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks.

GOOD!! Wilson had no real emotion to his coaching, no structure to the way he had his guys play the game. They played an end to end game which only works if your top guys are performing well, and you need your goalie to be playing excellent! It worked for the first half of the season, but not anymore. If he had changed the gameplan they may have won a few more of the last 13 games and he would still be employed!!

Hopefully Carlyle can get the guys back together and salvage some of this season. People are going to be expecting a quick turn around but it isn't going to happen.. IT TAKES TIME!!

That maybe true, but this is about Ontario.
40,000 players in the GTA....40,000!!
If Burke wants to fight with Cherry, he'll be the next to be sent packing.
