I have a bunch of Bleeding Hearts that transplant quite well when they are small! I would trade for others for my beds!

Anyone have any other plants we could trade for? sell or give for free?

Thanks! :)

Oh man I don't have anything to trade as I just started my flowerbed last year and only have hostas in it right now but would you be willing to sell some of the Bleeding Hearts?! I love those flowers!!!!

Hey .. I would give you some no problem - maybe if you happen to have something in the future you can see to have some my way that would be great!

I will be at the garden over the weekend and can leave you some on my front stair - just message me and I will let you know my address and leave some in a coffee can for you to pick up.

;)

These transplant very well and grow with as much room as you give them mostly. Next year you will be able to catch them early spring and break some off and plant elsewhere.

Would you be willing to trade the bleeding hearts for some Moon Flower seeds? My mother has some pods that contain hundreds of seeds for Moon flowers, her and my grandfather would plant them every year. The ones she has are for the white moon flowers.

That link explains them, they're beautiful in person and when fully open they can be the size of the palm of your hand.

Thanks KRP :)

Theyre pretty but it says that theyre poisonous.....so is that to animals then? And if theres small kids around it wouldn't be a good idea to plant?

They're good in an area where it's 'off limits' to contact for children (away from play areas), animals don't really bother too much from what I recall in the years my mom has been growing them. We've always told my two young children (5 & 6 1/2) that they can look but not touch because if they touch they'll get very very sick. That seemed to work because they haven't had any contact with them over the years.
