Vatican officials, noted however, that to obtain indulgences over the internet or otherwise, believers would first have to confess their sins, offer prayers and attend Mass.

“You can't obtain indulgences like getting a coffee from a vending machine,” Archbishop Claudio Maria Celli, head of the pontifical council for social communication, told the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.

Friggin' context!!

This is how an indulgence is defined in the Code of Canon Law (can. 992) and in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (n. 1471): "An indulgence is a remission before God of the temporal punishment due to sins whose guilt has already been forgiven, which the faithful Christian who is duly disposed gains under certain prescribed conditions through the action of the Church which, as the minister of redemption, dispenses and applies with authority the treasury of the satisfactions of Christ and the saints".

Never mind the price or mechanism, purgatory and buying indulgences is not biblical.

Once upon a time it was a significant part of your faith, where they just mistaken? I mean, the Bible is infallible right, so it couldn't have been a misinterpretation.

You confuse the teaching of some churches with what's written in the Bible.

You really want to go there??

Sola Scriptura is not in the Bible, and it is a key foundational piece of your religion
