Any fans on here? (if not, don't bs in the post)

I'm going to my first game this year in Oct, Michigan State vs. Indianna, should be fun.

I hope to god the wolverines lay a beating on the buckeyes this year.

I wonder how Florida will live up to the expectation now having won the BCS.

Any predictions on who's gonna be the poll sitter at the end of the season?

so michigan is off to an awesome start.. got their asses kicked against oregon this weekend.

at least Dantonio is making a decent start with Michigan State as their new head coach, they're 2-0 so far.

Notre dame is looking pretty crappy this year They're pretty much gonna win rarely this year. BUT next year and the years to follow Clausen is gonna step up and lead them like Quinn and the other outstanding QB's before have done.

Sadly the fighting Irish looked like a high school football team out there.

How come you hate Michigan?

How about ND's center snapping the ball like he was playing for the first time, that was pretty funny.

I've only become interested in college football in the last few years. I have to admit, it's pretty exciting, and I actually enjoy it much more than the NFL. I actually look forward to Saturdays, just for the college games, and this is coming from someone who wasn't much of a football fan before.

I do love the fact Michigan's season is already kaput. They are the most obnoxious fans in sport, and they deserve every minute of the pain and suffering this year is bringing /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

It feels like NCAA football is much more upbeat. The players are actually playing to achieve something. They all want to make the NFL so they try their hardest every play. once they get to the nfl, it's almost like they lose that heart and forget what got them there.

I'm glad the wolverines aren't doing great, but they're probably gonna end up winning the Big 10 as they beat Penn State to open the conference game. The only one I seegiving them a problem now would be when they visit MSU and Ohio State.

MSU is 4-0 this year so far and they're looking pretty dominant. Dantonio is really doing a good job this year. I think they need to let Hoyer lose a little bit and throw some bombs, he's got the potential to open up a game.

I still can't believe how crappy ND is doing. Weiss must be crying himself to sleep everynight.

I like michigan, but they suck. They are always over rated. They cannot defend against the spread offense.
The big 10 is over rated, why I dont know, the media, pollsters.
Michigan would get killed if they played any one from the sec, the best conference in all of college football.

I've never been to a college football game. I hear the atmosphere at places like Spartan Stadium and The Big House in Ann Arbor is just unreal.

Oh man, you wouldn't believe the intensity of the crowd at a college football game. I couldn't hear myself think. Everyone is cheerful, happy, buddy buddy with people next to them. It's a great atmosphere and I can't wait to go back to the Penn State vs. MSU game on Nov. 17. You should go speedy, you'll just be in awe and have a great time.

Would be nice to see them get to the Insight bowl, or the Outback bowl.. but I think they're going to have to settle for the Motorcity Bowl or the alamo (alamo would be awesome.. they lost in 03 but I think they want redemption).

Lets see if they can stop Boeckman and Beanie Wells when they play OSU.

The game I'd like to see would be the Michigan Wolverines vs. Georgie Bulldogs.

Saying they'll still play in a bowl isn't saying much.. there's 32 different bowl games.. so 64 teams play in bowl games.

Being in a BCS bowl is different, only 10 teams play in 5 BCS bowls.

armidillo, michigan isnt good. It would be nice to see a regular season game between the big 10 and the sec.

It will never happen, my opinion is.
Michigan, for example would get exposed early.
Any team in the sec would completely destroy them,
Period.
[censored] there title hopes.
Also my opinion is to why michigan has one of the most winniest programs.
They schedule against week teams evey year.
Look at the sec, every game is tough.

Michigan isn't ranked that high because they are so great, they are ranked that high because the teams that SHOULD be doing really well, keep getting upset - I can't remember a recent season where there have been so many upsets throughout the season.

i am starting to believe some conferences are over rated, such as the sec.

you cant really compare conference to conference anymore.. everyone has their own way of running their offense and defense.. everyone has different talent.. it's seems like there isn't a dominant conference anymore, just good conferences with a few dominant teams that seem to be losing

Yeah, I like college football better than the NFL.

Some interesting matchups for the first weekend...

Tonight: No. 16 Oregon at No. 14 Boise State

Saturday: No. 13 Georgia at No. 9 Oklahoma State (13 and 9 matchup, in the first week??? Nice!!)

No. 20 Brigham Young vs. No. 3 Oklahoma

No. 5 Alabama vs. No. 7 Virginia Tech (5 and 7 matchup, in the first week??? Nice!!)

Monday night: always a good contest -Miami (FL) at No. 18 Florida State

college football just sends out a better vibe than the nfl to me...

oregon > boise state
oklahoma > brigham

georgia is gonna have a tough time without stafford and moreno - okla state > georgia

alabama > virginia tech

It's nice to see some major matchups during the first week.

We're heading to the Michigan State vs. Montana State game this weekend, should be fun.

Yup, me too. Love the atmosphere. Saturday afternoons in the fall are made for college football.

Should be a lot of fun. I've never been to a game, but want to some day.

That MSU game is on the Big Ten Network Saturday. I'm planning on watching.

It's awesome on tv, but it's amazing live. The tailgaiting before the game, the shopping, the game, and then the post-game tailgates. It's just totally different than anythingwe could experience here. The only time I've ever seen 74,000 people in one place with nobody fighting someone else.

This will be my 6th game, and plan on going to the my 7th when the Spartans played Iowa in a night game in late Oct.

If you see some canucks sitting around the 40 yard line on the visiting side that would be us!

hey jack take your PMS'ing somewhere else.

MSU won 44-3 (who woulda thunk they'd beat montana state, lol)

Bradford gets injured in Oklahoma game, Oklahoma loses.. ouch.

Boise spanked Oregon. I was wrong again.

Alabama beats VT, woohoo, got one right!

Looks like it was a good weekend, some upsets and some almost upsets.Ohio state almost lost to Navy and Iowa almost lost to Northern Iowa. Looks like the Big 10 may be in trouble this year.

I love college football. I can't think of a better sports atmosphere other than in a championship game. ADD are you into any 'friendly' betting via proline at all?

Didn't get to watch the MSU game. The Big Ten Network advertised it all week ,then instead the regional broadcast of the Illinois game comes on.

No doubt some Einstein at the network lumped our area in with Wisconsin when deciding on who gets what regional feed.

Some interesting games this past weekend nevertheless. Michigan looked pretty good. But then again Western is no Ohio State.

uscs defense is gonna crush ohio states young o line.. the only thing id worry about with usc is their qb... ohio state is gonna bring the pressure from everywhere in the first little bit of the game to try and shake barley up. if not, he'll rip them part.

the 6 hb's for usc helps too.. they can pound it all game and not get tired

i'd take usc by 7

MSU makes me cry... they have so much potential but never play up to it. They blew the game today. They had it at the end but they couldnt keep get the onside kick after a missed 2 point. Saddening :(

Although Central Mich looked amazing, the MSU defense sucked. A lot of blown coverages and the MSU corners had their numbers pulled by the central wide receivers.

Michigan is currently right now beaating ND, that should be interesting to see how it ends.

Edit:

So Michigan won on a last effort.

How about Houston beating oklahoma state? Wow. The conferences are getting closer in competition every year.

If they keep playing like that they have a pretty good shot at making something more of this season. Once LeFevour is gone next year they won't have much tho.
