Music legend Gino Vannelli will be playing live tomorrow night for the Algoma Fall Festival. Concert is at the Machine Shop which is where the old paper mill was. Tickets are 60 bucks. Gino has sold millions of records with his Jazz, rock pop style of music. His claim to fame was his multi million selling album "Brother to Brother" but he continues to record and do huge shows around the world. Sadly, his amazing drummer Mark Craney, who's stellar chops were featured on the Brother to Brother album passed away a number of years ago. He was one of my faves. Here's live concert footage of an older concert featuring Gino's top notch band including the late great Mark Craney on drums. His cool drumming is featured throughout this song. If the music isn't your cup of tea, focus on the drums ;-)

Got to see Gino Vannelli and his band last night at the "Machine Shop". It was a great show and performance. Gino stills sings as powerful as he did decades ago. I will also say that the old papermill machine shop is an awesome venue and I hope more events are held there. Sound was also excellent, at least from where I was sitting ;-) I also got to meet Gino and a few of his band members. All were gracious and easy to talk to. Lots of local musicians were at the show and that was cool too. For me, it was amazing experience because I got to meet one of my influences from my youth. Getting to talk music with one of your major influences was surreal. ;-)
