I think this is disgraceful. Many people depend on this rail service. It's all greed. CN has tried for years to get rid of any passenger service. They are slowly succeeding. Won't be long and it will be the Agawa Tour Train next.

I can't see that being gone.

Have to abandon part of the country if it disappears.

Just going by stories I have heard over the years, but I understand that quite a few steelworkers bought or leased land along that line to Hearst, and have their camps and cottages up that way. Not to mention there are still a number of people living up the line, who depend on the rail for supplies, and the ability to get to town to restock.

It may be a limited number of people affected, but the blow to them will be devastating.

Just considering the political aspects of such a relationship, in this case, why is that a bad thing???
