It's been a long time since I've posted on here.

Has anyone else here had to undergo CABG (cardiovascular artery bypass graft) surgery? If so, how did your recovery go?

I just went through a quadruple bypass surgery early last month and I am at 4 weeks into recovery as of today.

9 weeks out.
All things considered, I'm doing well, and feel like people again.

People are starting to treat me like I'm an adult again and don't have to get me some milk or a coffee.
Go get it your self never sounded so good.

It get's better.

had it done may 6 2014. widow maker by- pass. caught it before having an actual heart attack (usually fatal) . . had very subtle indicators of a blockage. slight burning across my chest. bad family history so I followed up with the usual tests which all showed a problem. I was still excersing on a regular basis and always did....but if I extended my arms over my head I would get this burn. so now my mission is make it aware to my fellow workers etc to follow up on any peculiar pains burns in the chest area.
I do feel a whole lot more energetic now and looking back how lucky I truly was.
I must say it was a tough 3 days post operation , after which there wasn't much pain. the leg wound where they harvested the vein for the by-pass took a long time to heal.
anyone with concerns etc. please feel free to contact me.
