SaultOnline.com has learned that Prime Minister Stephen Harper is rolling into town on Tuesday for an event. An email was sent to party faithful alerting them to the event planned for Tuesday evening, September 1. No location has been disclosed, though the event is set for 5:30pm.

This will mark the first and possibly only visit the Prime Minister will make to the Sault during the election campaign. No mention of a media advisory as of yet, which could mean media may not be allowed at the event. No other information is available.

One would think he would WANT TO meet the voters. I think this will turn voters off in a big way. What is Harper afraid of?

Maybe he wants to save 50 large on security.

Are you sure it is not Monday? For some reason I think it is Monday.

We will see, but I have an ominous feeling it will be Monday.

And maybe he's just passing through on his way to Searchmont.

He wants to see the Sault one time before it is gone forever.

I think it is indeed tomorrow, but I heard from my sources it might be cancelled.

But if it is tomorrow I might be able to meet him.

Wash your hands, check your pockets and you ought to be OK.
