The nation's second largest school district has been hit with a $1 billion class-action lawsuit alleging it conducts "witch hunts" against older teachers in a "shrewd" effort to save money on retirement benefits.

Because I highly doubt the district has the funds to pay such a penalty.
Should have asked for something more reasonable.

Ask for one billion, the district's lawyers offer one million, and arbiter deems five million as reasonable.

This type of thing is more common that we realize. The "old boys" club wants to save money in many areas!!!
