President Barack Obama will try to reassure a nervous nation on Sunday that he has a plan to defeat the fast-evolving threat of terrorism, as fears multiply of ISIS attacks on the homeland and public trust in his handling of the threat has dipped to record lows.

Hmm, where have we heard the terms "homeland" and "homeland security" before?

I bet the next buzz words will be "arbeit macht frei".

Typical Hans.

France basically suspends their Constitution after the terror attacks there, and not a peep.

The U.S., who has suffered at the hands of terrorists ten times more than France, is inferred to be a police state, because the President is going to give a speech to the country on where we stand now in the fight on terror.

Euro-envy of America is quite something to behold.

There is a definition for the term "homeland". You should look it up someday.

There is also something called "trying too hard to find anti-Americans drivel". Simply re-read 95% of your posts the last two years to get examples.

...but I get it, Hans.

We saved you Europeans from trying to kill yourselves twice, and came out of the second attempt a superpower, the likes of which the world has never seen.

Someone had to be left in the dust. It was the Europeans. And you've been sick with envy ever since.

Just remember who gave you the soil you stand on. You are welcome.

Nothing was "given" to anyone in North America. It was taken by main force. While those participating were perhaps not all of the military and wore the uniform of a settler it was none the less 'main force'. The Native population was at war trying to rightfully protect that which was their's by their prior settlement.

People who saw what a cesspool Europe had become, and fled it.

Quite prescient, they were.

Does not take away the fact they were Europeans, and without their colonization know how you would not exist today.

President Barack Obama will try to reassure a nervous nation...Well I for one am reassured after hearing him talk. Obviously he has travelled forward in time and is able to confirm history will be on our side.

Had we taken the same lack of action against Hitler would history be on our side in regards to WWII?
