Sean Penn unwittingly led Mexican marines to El Chapo after meeting him for an extraordinary interview - and is now under investigation. The sensational meeting took place deep in the Mexican jungle in October and was arranged by Penn, Mexican actress Kate del Castillo and a fixer, with the permission of the Sinaloa cartel.Sean Penn Under Investigation (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3392260/Actor-Sean-Penn-met-interviewed-El-Chapo-Mexico-run-year.html)

And what would Mr. Hand have to say?

It would seem Penn could be charged with aiding and abetting a convict on the run...or....does money still talk?

His career turned up dead in 1985.

He was so good in Fast Times, then he went full-blown bat-sh** crazy.

Penn was working as a member of the press. Does the press not enjoy a right to protect their sources? Why would he repay an individual such as El Chapo by turning him in? I will confess to not reading the piece but my gut says I would have to see it from Penns point of view on this one. How many know an individual to be a person of ill repute on a professional level and never mention it and never act on it? Many I would wager. I have a few professional friends and acquaintances on both sides of the law and turning one in to the other has never occurred to me.

Probably happens a lot. A potential movie coming up, and someone wants to get both sides of a story.

El Chapo probably sold Penn some bad blow in the Eighties, and he is merely exacting his pound of flesh.

There are two options I had not entertained. Either one is a possibility.
