View Full Version : Why is Belgium an incubator for terrorists?

Why is Belgium such an incubator for Islamism? Why have such a highly disproportionate number of its people — at least 470 according to recent statements by Interior Minister Jan Jambon — joined the forces of the Islamic State in the Middle East?

That’s double the number per capita of France and four times that of Britain, according to a report released in January by the International Center for the Study of Radicalization and Political Violence at King’s College, London.

Belgium is, as a colleague of mine once described it, a “cardboard country,” with serious divisions by regions and languages. Dutch-speaking Flanders and francophone Wallonia are almost separate states, and the country has no sense of national identity. No wonder it can’t integrate newcomers.

Last November, in the wake of the attacks in Paris, the British newspaper the Independent interviewed Brice De Ruyver, a Belgian security adviser. “Officially we have no no-go areas in Brussels, but in reality we have them, and they are in Molenbeek,” he admitted.

The cultural code of silence in heavily immigrant districts such as Molenbeek, as well as widespread distrust of already weak government authorities, has unfortunately made Belgium a major hub of terrorist cells on the continent.

Typical. They'll 'tolerate' themselves right out of existence.

Belgium has the highest number of people per capita in the European Union (EU) who have travelled to Iraq and Syria to join terror groups such as Islamic State.

The radical Islamification of Europe, already well underway and to be completed in a few decades, can be attributed in large part to Belgium.

Well done, tolerant ones.

This should help ...

Belgium is about to enact legislation forcing refugees to sign a declaration supporting "European values". Opponents claim that it will only assist in deepening hostility between refugees and locals.

Your anger has been duly noted.

As has your white flag

04-08-2016, 08:01 PM
Angry, as usual.

You're shocked that Belgium specifically, and Europe as a whole, has been a joke when it comes to terrorism.

But why????

04-09-2016, 05:29 PM
I am not shocked at all. But I am shocked you are so angry.

I win

04-10-2016, 02:44 PM
That is a very angry win. Are you sure you won?

Seems in Belgium they're arresting anybody, in hopes of getting it right eventually

Embarrassing to watch

Still angry after so many days eh?

04-13-2016, 08:35 AM
I win

:) :) :)

How warm is the incubator?

04-13-2016, 04:41 PM
Hot for terrorists, apparently.

You know, Hans, it really is something. To have watched you criticize, mock, complain, do everything under the sun when it came to the US response to terror for years, then to watch you get hit like a ton of bricks when it's Belgium's turn, and they make a mockery out of it and embarrass anyone who even calls them an ally, let alone themselves ...well, I have to say...it's been a very, very enjoyable few weeks in here :)

A nation in absolute disarray ...

Brussels Airport canceled half its flights on Wednesday as anger mounted over a second day of industrial action by some air traffic controllers hampering a return to normality after last month's suicide bombings.

Some 200 of 400 scheduled flights were canceled, an airport spokeswoman said. A later statement said the outlook for Thursday was still unclear. One of Europe's busiest, Brussels airport had reopened 10 days ago at much reduced capacity following the Islamic State attacks on March 22.

So, you have been talking for the past few weeks about this incubator, but you don't know how warm it it?

I win!

04-15-2016, 10:15 AM
I also don't know what "it it" means

Your angry, I understand. Hopefully you will be able to enjoy the good weekend weather.
