Yes, but wishing we could be watching at a slightly greater distance.

You, but wishing we could be watching at a slightly greater distance.

We wish you would watch from a greater distance too. :cat:

I figured this is the only way to liven things up. I'm bad.

You guys are infatuated with America, not just our politics.

And why wouldn't you be? To live so close to the greatest country that has ever existed, yet to be so ...mediocre.

However, I do apologize for not paying more attention to you. But please understand, when you're the stud at the party (USA), you sometimes overlook the unattractive redheaded guy (Canada) that would love nothing more than for you to pay attention to him

:) :) :)

Sorry, but we win

Trial balloons being floated around the defence policy review make one believe that the ultimate goal is to justify a greatly reduced armed forces; reduced in size, reduced in roles and reduced in reach.

There is a certain twisted logic underpinning these goals. In short, Canada is a fundamentally secure country, geographically immune from conventional military threats: Russian expansionism is a European problem; Mideast instability can be contained by others; China’s assertiveness in the South China Sea doesn’t affect Canada; and a host of other irritants can be addressed by minimal investments or alliances.

Paradoxically, the result would achieve the opposite of the “Canada is back” mantra the Prime Minister has been so fond of saying. We might be back only to find that no one pays much attention.

As much as I do appreciate, somewhat, having a big brother close by that has always stood up for me, which is kind of the view I have of America. Having to witness, what has been a continual and constant degradation of the US, in more ways than one and more specifically, just over the last 10 years, has been difficult to watch, to say the least and hardly think there is anything to brag or gloat about there right now. TBH. The ole' US of A always did have an issue with arrogance...hoping it can be transformed into confidence one more time, though.

Not to mention, sure hope once Mr. Trump takes office, he's going to set the little boy with "nice hair" running our country straight. We really need our big brother to step in, because the incompetent little child that is ruining/running our country right now, needs to be given a wedgie, put in a headlock and given a noogie too!!!
