By ending the ban, the U.S. is signaling its desire to leave behind decades of tense post-war relations with Vietnam and start a new phase of closer economic and military ties -- one facet of the "rebalance" toward Asia that's central to the president's foreign policy legacy.

"Closer economic ties" is another word for outsourcing of jobs to take advantage of cheap labor.
A trade agreement between USA and Vietnam will be next, to circumvent those silly things called import taxes and anti dumping legislation.

When will we say enough is enough to those companies that outsource?
