Ferrari (RACE) made a mere 499 LaFerrari models after the hypercar made its debut in 2013. So collectors will likely be throwing some elbows to bid on a matte-black 2014 LaFerrari that will appear at the Mecum Auctions sale in Monterey, California.

The LaFerrari is the most powerful Ferrari ever built for public roads. (Its name, “The Ferrari,” wasn’t an accident.) While mainstream hybrids use an electric drivetrain to cut down on fuel, the LaFerrari’s electric motor gives the super-fast car an extra boost. A 6.3-liter V12 engine and a separate electric motor combine for a total of 950 horsepower.

Now that would be a great car to set a Wallace Terrace run record.

You would require drivers gloves and shoes for the speeds you will hit with this hybrid.

I am sure I could afford those if I could afford this vehicle.
I wonder what the insurance premium will be on it.

I saw a red charger yesterday near the Dodge dealership pull up pretty good. I think it was either an SRT8 or a hellcat. Sounded very good.

I covet the hellcat but know full well I lack the mental acuity required to pilot one with any measurable amount of sanity.

Going by the exhaust tips I don't think it was a hellcat. I am leaning towards a pre-chrome SRT8 with a custom exhaust.

Ford is building a factory drag car. Highland has one in the showroom.

Not street legal, has no VIN, only a part number!!

Hans could employ this vehicle for his test runs. He is breaking the law anyway so why not go all the way and use an illegal auto.

Illegal and not street legal are 2 different things.

Hardly, now you are splitting hairs. You see it as acceptable to risk other motorists lives, not to mention pedestrians but doing so with an illegal vehicle is wrong. This is where you draw the line, seriously?

You have to draw the line somewhere.

There are several lines, the start line, the finish line etc...
