Two high-profile American peace activists on Thursday accused the Canadian government of denying them entry into Canada solely because of past arrests in the U.S. for peaceful protests against the war in Iraq.

Why were they arrested during a peaceful protest?
Ask yourself, comrade.
Lenin would be proud.
I found out what happened, thanks Speedy.
"Canada is the first country, to our knowledge, that is using this beefed-up database of the FBI as its criteria for judging who enters. It's why we consider this so outrageous and so dangerous."

I generally look at the FBI as a trusted non political influenced source. Why try to invent the wheel?
You're right.
We are good.

It is both countries law to not accept anyone with a criminal record across the border.
This doesn't hold any water.

Typical loser boy fashion.
Topic of the thread proves ignorance, and lack of respect.

Another arrogant assumption made by a ignorant American who doesn't know his a$$ from a hole in Bush's theories.
That one failed miserably.

Seems to me people have been denied entry to the US for previous arrests for lesser things.
Of course.
"Seems" being the key word.
Check your facts. Cut and paste, do what ever it is you do.
Any Canadian with a criminal record is not allowed to cross the border, the same with the United States.

Thank you Colonial Obvious.
A criminal record is a criminal record, does not matter if they were arrested for "peace keeping", they are criminals.
We don't want your criminals here in Canada, just as you don't want ours!

Our criminals are better than your criminals.
Actually it was supposed to be, thanks for the correction.
