I though I remembered seeing a thread about something that could be put in cat litter to help with the odor. We have 2 kittens and cleaning the litter box everyday isn't helping, neither is using multiple cats cat litter. They are little poop and pee machines! We had 2 cats before and never had this problem....anyone have any ideas other then me having to actually change the cat litter every single day.

i use baking soda in the litter, it helps with odors, but i dont know of anything that really works wonders.

yips had a different type of litter called feline pine that helps with urine, but not too much with the poop smell.

little pee and poop machines, lol!

maybe change the food they're on? Are they on canned food because that stuff will make em stink!

litter makes a huge difference
I am using maxxy cat and find it better than other brands. It comes in a green bucket and food basics.
I only feed her good quality dry food also.

Frequent scooping makes a huge difference I have 4 boxes and I scoop twice a day. I use clay litter from Canadian Tire, and line the boxes with baking soda then add the clay. You cant smell a thing in my house and I have 7 cats.

edit for spelling

I dont really notice a difference between the pet and the normal baking soda.

I found when my kitties were young (I have 7 cats), they smelled a lot and peed a lot and pooped a lot. Now that they are older, all this stinky stuff has really settled down where you can't tell I have that many cats. I have two giant sized litter boxes, that's it and scoop three times per day to keep on top of things.

When they were kittens, I found too much canned food really made them smell a lot, especially my boy kitties. Getting good dry food helps a lot too so their poop isn't mushy.

I found once they were all spayed and neutered, the urine was not as strong, especially the boys.

But I think it's just like that puppy smell, when they are young, they just smell a lot because they pee and poop a lot.
