does anybody know anything about having a blood boil in your mouth....on the inside of your lip.....it was caused by eating something to hot and it burnt the inside of the lip...(eating noodle off the spoon without cooling it off first>>LOL) it is raised up on the skin (almost like a little tumor in the shape of a cone) and it comes to a head and then it will bleed....but it wont completely dry up and go away.....it's been over a month now.....any suggestions?????

a visit to a nurse or doctor might be a good idea, i would say that anything that doesnt want to heal should be looked at...

This might hurt like heck but Listerine Mouth Wash might do the trick. My doctor told me to hold it in my mouth at least twice a day. My Gson used to get those open sores on his lips too. I gave him Listerine and it cleared it up. He and I have the same doctor. But oh does it burn........but your mouth feels really good after.

Sounds like it's time to see your Dr or dentist.

A boil is a type of skin infection, if not treated it can lead to complications. It is likely the burn became infected the first time the blister was burst. You may need to see your doctor for antibiotics. Repeated lancing of the boil may also be leading to further infection if proper sterilization is not used.

Sometimes wounds on the inside of the mouth are very difficult to heal because of the moist warm environment that they are in. First of all, I would recommend NOT popping the "boil" as this can cause further infection. What I do suggest trying, is rinsing your month with peroxide, being very careful not to swallow any. Peroxide works very well to clean the area and also works well to heal. (Trust me on this, as an RN, it really does work well) It's a great method for those who have cancer sores as well. Just swish it around for about thirty seconds and spit it out. Do that 3 to 4 times a day, and I am sure you will notice a difference. Also, it is not painful like alcohol would be.

Good Luck!

up-date........

well 2 days ago...she (my daughter) popped it again and this huge piece came out...its the first time anything like that has....and since then it has slowly been getting smaller.....she has tried the peroxide in the past but not that many times a day or for that long.....I will suggest this tonight when she gets home to do again and more times a day.....but I am pretty sure it is doing better now....most boils do have a core and I think that is what she got out....

thank you so much for asking about her everybody and for all your in-put on the matter.....will keep you posted as to how it is doing....

thanks again
