OK, this is the info I've been looking for.

Many other surveys there.

Check out that last question on the authority of the Vatican. Predictable that the college crowd would hold to this the least.

How can someone be a Catholic (never mind "good Catholic") if you don't beleive Jesus physically rose from the dead? If you don't believe that, you're not even in the right ballpark, are you?
Well, there are lots of people who call themselves Christians in general who, when pressed, would deny the resurrection.
There is a growing trend to see the resurrection as merely a 'spiritual' resurrection, which, in reality is an incoherent concept. So this liberal stream is not exclusive to RC's by any means. It happens among all denominations in which a person might refer to themselves as a 'good Christian'. The irony is, of course they can be GOOD PERSONS, and that in itself defines what a Christian is in their minds.
However, in our church, we would have to regard such individuals as apostates and they could not be members if we become aware of them.
I think both in the RC world and ours, people are being dishonest about what they REALLY believe. They make their 'confession of faith as a child, become a member, and as an adult they change their views but don't tell anyone, until a survey comes around.
What is the point of this?
That certain Catholics don't follow the Church? This is hardly news.
Remember, one can excommunicate oneself, without any formal recognition from Rome.
The RCC is what it is, you accept it or don't. At the end of the day, the RCC stands among it's eternal truths, and people may come or go as they please.

But not forgotten apparently.
Yup, they don't forget...
"Victims' advocates who dogged the Roman Catholic Church over sex abuse by its clergy have now turned their attention to Southern Baptists.
The group is accusing America's largest Protestant denomination of also failing to root out molesters.
The Chicago-based Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests — or SNAP — has started a campaign to call attention to alleged sex abuse committed by Southern Baptist ministers and concealed by churches.
The group presented a letter Monday to Southern Baptist Convention executive committee members in Nashville, Tenn., asking the group to adopt a zero-tolerance policy on sex abuse and to create an independent review board to investigate molestation reports.
Church leaders concede there have been some incidents of abuse in Southern Baptist congregations, but say their hands are tied when it comes to investigating complaints across the denomination.
One such incident occurred this week in Columbia, S.C., where police said a pastor sent pornographic messages and obscene pictures of himself over the Web to a police officer posing as a 14-year-old girl."

"ABC's "20/20" examined the problems with clergy sexual abuse in the Southern Baptist Convention April 13, warning that some convicted "preacher predators" remain on an SBC's list of ministers available for employment.
Featuring interviews with Southern Baptist Convention president Frank Page and clergy sex-abuse-survivor-turned-activist Christa Brown, the program investigated how denominations without hierarchical authority can protect vulnerable parties from abuse by ministers.
The show also featured footage of Ken Ward, a former Southern Baptist preacher from Texas who admitted to molesting 40 boys during his tenure. Ward served five years in prison and is now under house arrest."

And the damn shame of it all is that this can be traced directly back to the fact they are not allowed to marry, and they...
...oh, wait...
forget it...

But Speedy, you really can't get down on the Baptists...After all, their religion can't be traced back nearly as far as yours, so it must be totally bogus. In your eyes, these people are not "true" Christians.
Therefore it must be just a general statistic of the incidence of abuse among the non-Catholic population, and in no way deflects the seriousness of "true" Catholic priests doing the same evil deed. A much more serious sin, I would think.

First you show me where I said non-Catholics were not Christians, then I'll answer your inane rambling.

You really don't want me to quote ever second religious thread wherein you claim or imply that Catholics are somehow superior to Protestants...do you? A terrible waste of bandwidth I think.
