Looking for fish tank.

Yeah I know this should go in the Looking For section, but it is specific to pets so here it is. We have decided that we would like to get a fish tank. It will be our 1st fish tank and we are getting it for ambiance as well as to give our 2 young girls something to develop responsibilities.

I am looking for as close to a complete set as possible and in the 50 gallon range. We are not interested in something as small as 30 gallons, though as the wall we will be putting it is too long for a tank that short to look good. The obvious stuff like no leaks, a filter that works good, a stand and as many accessories as possible. A used tank too, not a new one. I know there were a few and one in particular listed locally but we had not decided at that time, now we have.

Price range willing to spend? $100-$200

Mikey, I do not know if you are interested, but you can get 55gallon start tank across the river, its filters, heaters, canopy etc!! everything but gravel, for 154.97 american and I believe the stand is 88 dollars, dont forget our dollar is higher, its a nice tank!! and great deal!! other then that xzavia has a brand new hex tank and stand and filter she is looking for 350 for it, its beautiful!!

you can get a 30 gallon tank with stand, filter, rocks, all you need at walmart for under 150

Actually, in the time I posted yesterday, we had a significant medical situation with our dog and had to put him down yesterday afternoon. It came completely out of the blue. Obviously our family, especially with the 2 small kids, is still in shock. So, I will kind of have to put the fish tank thing on hold for a few weeks until I am sure we have processed the whole situation.

For the person who PMed me about their tank, it sounds like something I would be interested in, but we are now in a bit of a holding pattern. If you can sell it to someone else, then sell it. When we are ready to go the pet route again I will for sure contact you via PM. Im know, the day I say we are looking for one is the day I say I now have to wait, but life just threw us "one of those" and I need to make sure my kids figure it out first.
