I remember last year the trails did not open until mid January. It looks like it may be a early start this year though.

I know that my sons all bought thiers. Looks like we might actually get some riding in this year, unlike last.

I still think that locals should have gotten a bit of a break on the price this year since the trails were only open for what 3 maybe 4 weeks last year.
Of course nothing like that would ever happen!

Always a few for sale at the lower price, people blow up their sleds before they even stick them on, or buy them in anticipation of getting a sled but can't find a decent one for a decent price.
The people in this town are out to lunch on their used sled pricing.

We did the three last year. $540. then my oldest bought one after the fact. This year we said NOPE not gonna do it. My two younger boys bought thier own, and my oldest bought one for himself.

What I though was dumb was they got rid of the $35 day pass. Now all the offer is a $90 3 day and a $120 7 day pass. Whats the difference between a 3 day pass for $90 and a day pass for $30?

They get $60 bucks more out of you right on the spot.

Have you ever taken your machine across the river and rode the american trails?

Excellent trail system, and the permits are $25.00 a year.

So they can gouge you $90 for a one or two day ride, if you just have one day or a weekend..

I think if I rode all day long I would be staying home for the next 2 days once I had my fill. They should bring back the one day pass.

yea this year is worth it more worth than the last 4 years or so..... but you gotta make sure you are out there every weekend at least......... depends on what you think YOU feel is worth it.....

we used to go to Elliot Lake, Hilton Beach, Richards Landing, Heyden, Batchewana, Wawa, Trout Lake, Goulais, Drummond Island, Echo Bay, Gros Cap, Thessalon, Blind River, Garden River,........ that's when WE thought it was worth it..... but hey who can make plans EVERY weekend to go to those places.... the laundry and dishes sure do pile up lol

hey that sounds like the song "I've been everywhere Man......" lol

Looks like another busted season, trail have not open yet (Jan8 with rain) and will not for awhile by the looks of things. I think this will be my last year of buying a permit.
