here's the first post from the chiphell article translated using google language tools.. converted from chinese to english...

Prediction flagship NV: GEFORCE9800GTX, GDDR5 used, the specific issue on ONGOING
    GeForce 9800GTX graphics chip
    NVIDIA chip makers
    256 bit interface chip
    0.65-micron manufacturing process
    Core code G100
Graphics core frequency of 780 MHz frequency
    Frequency of 3200 MHz memory
    Memory specifications memory types DDRV
    Memory capacity (MB) 2048MB (256X8)
    512 bit memory interface
Description DDRV 0.25ns memory using memory-0.50
    Memory speed (ns) 0.25-0.50ns
    The maximum resolution 2560 * 1600
    Thermal cooling card cooling fans
PCI bus interface card interface-E2.0 16X
    UDI dual 24-pin DVI-I interface
    3D API DirectX 10.1
SP unit 256 (using virtual technology, the actual remains 128)
(The above is an internal source for NV speculation, the actual situation may change)

It has been learned: As the 3850/3870 ATI massive trip, NV will be on February 14 this year released on time with the 9600 GT confrontation, and continue to be in high-end 8800 GTS 8800GT 512MB play, the 8800 GTX shutdown

As ATI's high-end aspects of R700 uncertainties, GEFORCE 9800 GTX will depend on the R700 to the performance of specific decisions, but basically have been identified Skip GDDR4, instead of GDDR5 to cope with the new G100 core, Samsung has stated that it will in the next 08 GDDR5 volume production six months, and as early as 9800 GTX GDDR5 will be the first batch of prenatal supply to meet the 9800 GTX available for sale to meet the high-end market

But the price will be GEFORCE9800GTX NV past than the more expensive high-end products, to a large reason for this is that the relationship between the GDDR5, G100 in the overall framework for a very substantial adjustment, compared with the same frequency 8800 GTS fever were reduced by 15% -25% and the core overclocking better performance, and the introduction of virtual SP, in the original SP can increase a number of times (virtual performance to the original 1.3-1.5-fold), support DX10.1

HDTV adoption VP3, and finally got rid of the high-end graphics HD behalf of the shortcomings of entering in the low-end, for fever and cost considerations G100 may be used 55 NM process, or specific to the situation and the R700 yield decisions, which have rumours that the 9 Series will be the last generation of single-core GPU (high-end)

PS: The above situation is forecast personal version, not provide us with any legal responsibility, if identical, coincidentally

so from what i gathered, is that most of the specs on this card at this point is guesswork, with a bit of actual detail provided.

If that card is anything like what is predicted, this card is gonna be some serious [censored] business.

    2 gigs of DDR5?

    780/3200??!?!? (holy [censored]!)

    256 shader processors?

    DX 10.1 and pci-e 2.0?

    512-bit?

your guess is as good as mine as to what the shaders will be clocked at, but if these specs are even somewhat realistic, they're bound to be somewhere in the 2ghz range. (my guess.)

If were a $600-$800 card many ppl will still buy it if it smokes the ATI R700 series cards. ATI better come up with something extraordinary in the few months as it is rumored/fact that the G100 will be out somtime in March of this year. It is also rumored the G100 may even be a 45nm processor to make it cheaper in price and give more leway for overclocking and with GDDR5 2GB and a 512bit interface, 256 processor shaders. That would be a whopping card to produce. It does not matter about money to some ppl as they will buy it/save up to buy it just because of what it can do. ATI dual-gpu cards no doubt won't be something to laugh at as they will/should perform very well.

I'm looking forward to the two giants . It makes us buyers more aware on what we want. But i just don't see ATI crush NVIDIA, by that time they will have something out by then also. But as usual the old saying is that the best never stays on top of the pile.
But it's best bang for the buck, that is why I picked my card.

My card when clocked to 780MHz puts the shader clock at 1.95GHz.

But...GDDR5? oooof! What a monster that'd be, such a jump would exponentially increase bandwidth from even what I have now, the newest Nvidia card.

All nvidia has to do is be within price range of ATI's dual Gpu card and they will sell like hot cakes.

I won't even touch AMD or ATI.

ATI sold out and AMD has crapped out and lost their edge, Intel now has a faster memory architecture, the main edge AMD once had.

Yes i agree Intel has the upper hand in the CPU market and Nvidia seems to be a little behind on TECH right this min, but that will all change in the next month-two months.

It will no doubt be a good year for 2008 and the computer world, just think about what will come out after the G100 cards as Nvidia stated it will be the last Single-GPU card they will make.
